Educational Services
Consultation
We make assessments of students’ school performance in the classroom, as well as their behavior. Once the assessment is made, we provide the appropriate assistance or refer the student to other professionals, such as licensed professional counselors or psychologists for additional assessment.
Tutoring
We tutor students in grades K – 12 in mathematics, English/Language Arts/Vocabulary, Social Studies, the Sciences, Writing, and Spanish. The tutoring can be either remedial or accelerated. All tutoring sessions include collaboration with parents to improve study skills for the student’s maximum improvement.
Test Preparation
We prepare students for the SSAT, the ISEE, the SAT, and the ACT. In addition to these national standardized tests, we also offer help for school-based standardized tests. We also have programs that will assist students with preparing for weekly tests/quizzes, semester tests, or end-of-course tests, and more.
Family/Student Support Program
We work with students and families when the child is performing poorly academically or is getting regular disciplinary referrals. We offer parents and the school strategies that will encourage changes in behavior and academic performance. This program is designed to help students improve prior to the necessity of being referred for psychological evaluation.
Student Advocacy
A consultant represents a child’s interest when the school makes a decision that the parents or the student does not agree with. The consultant gathers information and meets with the school officials, the parents, and the child to attempt to resolve the issue.
Parenting Workshops
During the year, the Educational Advisory Group offers parenting workshops on topics that will assist parents in staying current in areas that will give their child the best opportunity to be a successful student and a lifelong learner.
Summer Math Immersion
This program is offered for six weeks during the summer to all grade levels. It is an interactive and critical thinking program that uses different techniques to master math skills. It is not modeled after the school curriculum but is intended to be fun, educational, and creative.
Independent Day & Boarding School Placement
Placing students in independent schools is very competitive. By using an educational consultant, the student has the best chance to submit an application that demonstrates their strengths.
Study Abroad Programs
This program gives students information on different programs abroad that encourage students to experience overseas cultures and academic programs.

The Educational Advisory Group has a range of other services that we provide:
- Mentoring/Coaching Teens and Young Adults: goal setting, planning, and ongoing support.
- Post-secondary Options: year-off/gap year, and application/essay support for colleges and scholarship applications.
- Mediationto resolve issues between the school and parents or between students prior to disciplinary referral. This program differs from student advocacy, because the consultant is a mediator and does not represent either side. Mediators gather the facts and help the parties come to an agreement on the resolution.
